Generic name: Abamectin 1.8%EC

Active chemical: Abamectin (a natural acaricide and insecticide, which is isolated from a fermentation of Streptomyces avermitilis.).

Formulation : Emulsifiable concentrate.

Target Pest Category:  mites, leafminers, pear psylla, cockroaches, and ants.

Mode of action: Abamectin attacks the nerve system of insects and mites (by stimulating the release of γ–aminobutyric acid, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, thus finally activating elicit the influx of chloride ions into central neurons.), causing paralysis within hours. The paralysis can not be reversed. Abamectin is active once eaten (stomach poison) although there is some contact activity. Maximum mortality occurs in 3-4 days.

Cotton 1.8 – 2.6 g i.e / 100L,  Potato 1.1 g i.e / 100L, Potato 1.2-1.8 g i.e / 100L, Vegetables, Ornamentals, Strawberry, Watermelons, Melons 0.5 – 1.2 g i.e / 100L
For optimum control, apply abamectin when the leaves are young to allow  better absorption into leaf tissue. not spray at blooming stage
